Make it work!

While I started my self-taught experience in video editing at Dick’s Sporting Goods on the social team, I really grew this skill at Mxxdicreations. For most of the footage in these videos I created these assets myself to start. To note, we did outsource the 3D illustration videos in the science portion. There is a lineup of different devices to market and they each have their own needs around how to do so. Working with FDA restrictions on language, footage, imagery, etc presents a challenge. With virtually no budget to initially work with, we had to get very creative! We made our own spinning platform from a ball bearing base ring and a big enough piece of wood and an LED light on the side in a dark room to create the rotating devices. When it comes to representation, I always try to keep anything I do grounded in the truth of whatever i’m working with; showing actual B-roll footage of treatments being done, showing the product in actual environments and not just green screening something in, as little stock imagery as possible, etc. I want to have authenticity as a pillar of building a brand.
